I was born and raised in Arab, Alabama with a love for all things outdoors, horses, and agriculture. My interests began at an early age when I started taking horse back riding lessons and soon after started working on that same farm.

Several years later I found myself graduated from high school and attending my freshman year of college at the University of Alabama Huntsville. I transferred to Auburn University and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Animal Science - Muscle Foods two years later.

Knowing I loved the animal protein business and wanted to explore the science behind how food is moved from farm to fork, I worked hard to earn a spot in Auburn University's Food Science Masters Program and I am thrilled to see what doors will be opened for me through hard work and ambition.

Outside of my academic explorations, I love doing outdoor activities such and hiking and exploring nature with my friends. Being adventurous has always come easily to me. As far as extracurricular activities go, I am proud to say that I play on the Auburn Women's Club Ultimate Frisbee Team! The group of girls that I have come to know and love will stay with me even after my time playing on the team is over. In addition to playing Frisbee, I love to workout on a daily basis whether it be weight lifting or running.
